Abby Rike Rockenbaugh: Speaker, Teacher, and Author

What people are saying about Abby:

If you're at the point where you want to change your life, Abby's message is a must.” Sherri Kayser- CEO Peace Lights

Abby Rike Rockenbaugh, a loyal, hard working, lover of life, faced an unfathomable tragedy in October 2006 when her beloved husband, 5 ½ year old daughter, and 2 ½ week old son were killed in a fatal car crash. With God’s grace, she chose to forge ahead in her new life.

Following the wreck, Abby graduated with a Master’s of Education degree maintaining a 4.0 grade point average. Deciding there was more living to do in this life, in May of 2009, God led Abby on a very public journey of healing and wellness when she went on NBC’s hit reality series “The Biggest Loser.”

In the years following, Abby has had the privilege of sharing the many lessons she learned along the way with hundreds of corporations, hospitals, churches, grief groups, universities, and schools. Abby feels blessed to have had the opportunity to realize God’s grace full circle and feels compelled to share with others what she experienced firsthand. The Biggest Loser served as the catalyst to jumpstart her back in to living, and Abby feels like the best has just begun. She continues her healthy lifestyle and vigor for life and is a living example that even in your darkest hour, there is always hope.

Abby remarried in 2011. She and her husband, TJ, call Rockenbaugh Mountain in Nashville home, along with their gaggle of four-legged friends including dogs, chickens, and fainting goats. They are active members at their home church, First Baptist Joelton. If you're in the area, they'll save you a seat!

Abby published her first book, Working It Out in 2011. She has appeared on the Ellen Show, Jay Leno, The Today Show, Kathie Lee and Hoda, Better TV, The 700 Club, Praise the Lord, and numerous others. She also has been featured on the cover of Life & Style Magazine, Woman’s Day, and was featured in People magazine.

Summer Lacy: Bible Teacher and Author

What people are saying about Summer:

"Get ready for your approach to personal Bible study to go from haphazard to productive - from frustration to renewed passion. Soak up these practical tips and get ready to dive in." Sara Wallace, Author, The Gospel-Centered Mom

Summer is wife to Chris and Mama to their 3 wild boys.  A teacher at heart, Summer readily traded her role as a professor of Communication Studies for an amazing gig as stay-at-home mom when boy #2 made his debut.  She earned her Master's Degree at the University of Texas, is a part of the Tribe here at Rock This, and is a Bible teacher and writer.

Her first book, His Word Alone:  A call to put down your Bible studies and pick up your Bible, was recently released.   Thoroughly convinced of God's ability to use His Word to meet us each individually, Summer has a passion for sharing the endless beauty of Scripture with women in all phases of life.  Summer and her family live outside of Houston in Spring, Texas and call Church Project home.  You can find Summer’s blog at www.earlymorningmama.com or connect with her on Facebook.

Brenna Peyton: Professional Organizer

What people are saying about Brenna:

“By the way, I don’t know if you realize how powerful what you do is in someone’s life.  You are literally helping me permanently change my life. I could never do this on my own. But I really do plan to make these changes permanent. Those of us suffering from the disease of clutter think we’ll have to hide it from everyone for the rest of our lives. You are a fantastic professional organizer proving that there is a CURE!!!”

Brenna is a professional organizer in Nashville, TN, who gets IT.  She gets how important your home and family are.  She knows from deep down in her soul that your family and your home are the very heart of who you are, and that with every fiber of your being, you want more time, space, and energy to enjoy both of those things.   She also knows that some days you’d rather set your house on fire than deal with the chaos that awaits you there.  She gets that life is hard.  Even the good things in life.  ESPECIALLY the good things in life.

Brenna is ALL about figuring out practical, simple solutions, so you can live with less chaos, resentment, anxiety and panic.  In short, so you can live a life without the C.R.A.P. (Chaos, Resentment, Anxiety, and Panic)

You can find Brenna's website, including her blog, at www.OneOrganizedGirl.com.

Dr. Amy Garza: MD and Wellness Coach

Amy loves Jesus madly and loves talking to everyone about the only One who will never let her down.  Her earthly joys are abundant and they start with four of the coolest kids on the planet: Jake (14), Allie (13), Josh (12) and Ainslee (10).  Amy spent years criss-crossing the country in pursuit of her medical career, but now lives in Texas where she was born and raised. Her passion for health, nutrition, and fitness is deep-rooted in personal identity and weight struggles from which the Lord continues to graciously free her.  A physician by training but a teacher at heart, Amy has an overwhelming desire to teach others what scripture truly says about who we are in Christ and what a healthy physical, mental, and spiritual life entails. Amy believes God gives each of us the power of choice in circumstance and His power in times of weakness.

She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Biblical Counseling from Denver Seminary. In her free time, Amy enjoys lifting heavy weights, playing golf, reading, and spending time with the best friends and family a girl could ask for.

Check out what Dr. Amy will be covering at the conference.

Nealy Beattie: Bible Journaler

Neely is a wife, stay-at-home mom, and photographer in Southwest Missouri. She loves Jesus, laughing, sarcasm, flannel shirts, a hot cup of coffee, and a good book. Neely is drawn to the quirky, weird, and random things in life and can find something funny in almost any situation. With a bachelors degree in graphic design, she has found another way to funnel her love for creating: using bible journaling to share God's message. What began as a personal commitment to soak up God's word by using art has now become a way to encourage and uplift others. When Neely isn't doing any of the above things, she can usually be found binge watching shows on Netflix or texting her sister-in-law funny pictures she found on the Internet.

Lindsey Maholland: Worship Leader

Lindsey is a wife to John and mother to Stella Beth and Braxton Jude. She's in her sixth year of being a music teacher and loves sharing the joy of music with her work babies. Lindsey has been fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel around the U.S. and lead worship for different events and camps for children, youth, and adults. Her passion and true gift is to lead the church in praising His great Name. Lindsey was created to share music, her giant faith, and His great Name with the world!
